There are apparently numerous species in Griffinia and all are rare. We have had this one species since in the 1980's and are still unsure what it is. We know it is not liboniana and think it could be ornata, but if so this is more miniature than descriptions say it should be. This plant has distinct lattice-like veining which makes it quite attractive even out of bloom Flowers looks like the miniature version of Worsleya rayneri, the extremely rare Blue Amaryllis from Brazil but even more blue. . We have found this plant easy to grow in South Florida. Plant is growing in a 4 " pot. We are listing an actual blooming size Worsleya bulb in a separate listing soon. We usually ship this growing and if possible in spike. If ordering several and weight is a issue we will bare root.

We ship hardgood items out within 24 hours but plants go out only on Mondays or Tuesdays weather permitting and circumstances beyond our control(Hurricanes in Florida, Riots in Florida for our votes not counting again, Freezing or above 95 degree temperatures in the rest of the country) This allows plenty of time for them to arrive before the weekend. If you want us to ship otherwise, we do not assume responsibility. Many of our plants take years to produce and we want them to arrive safely. Insurance included with priority shipping! (However the post office does not insure perishables except that it will arrive)

We can give an immediate authorization number We definitely prefer this method as PayPal charges have become very significant. We try to add something extra for the folks that do this. At other times (7AM to 9AM and up to 10PM EST) our phones are forwarded to a cell and we will email an authorization number when we get back to the omeron during business hours. Several of these can be shipped if bare rooted for minimal postage charge

We are very concerned with ever increasing shipping costs. Many times a package will be only slightly over the increment in shipping costs and there can be added at no additional shipping charge many of our items. We list many items that come in under 12 ounces and can often be included with no increase in shipping you are already paying. Just check out our FREE SHIPPING WITH PURCHASE* category. Local pickup is always encouraged, just make sure they are at the correct pickup location either in Boynton Beach or Loxahatchee. In most cases we can transfer items from one location to the other within 24 hours.

FEEDBACK We now leave feedback for those who leave feedback for us. We feel that a buyer letting us know how they feel about the transaction IN FULL is part of the transaction, so want to make sure we have been given the opportunity to do everything in our power to make the experience positive. This seems to encourage our customers to let us solve any issues before leaving comments that cannot be retracted. Please be aware that we sometimes include in shipping a 50 cent to $1.50 charge to help offset packing, and boxing costs , not to mention standing in line at the post office usually within 24 hours of the purchase. In some cases our postage runs more than we charge, and yet some people have left us with less than a 5 star rating. This now makes a difference since ebay gives a discount on their significantly increased commissions for sellers with high star ratings. Yes postage is significant, but we have no control of it and feel ebay should not penalize a vendor for a consumer not liking the published fare

We pride ourselves on our products and description of products, customer service and packing and we want our eBay feedback to reflect this concern and commitment. In most cases it is not cost effective to ship plants out of the US internationally. In some cases we have product at our farm in Mexico for shipment within Mexico

When I received it it looked as if was going dormant but now it has gotten new growth and I cannot wait until the leaves get bigger. I am happy with this bulb.

Good morning, I am writing to report how pleased I am about receiving this species from you ! Although the packing box was a bit damaged from the shipping process, the plants inside were in excellent shape and not damaged in the least. The plants were shipped growing in what I would describe as ‘orchid media’. They were obviously thriving in this and could have been left in except that in order to transport them to my home, I needed to bare root them. It was great to see the very healthy vigorous roots ! Once I arrived home, I repotted them in a similar open mix. They look totally healthy and unaffected by the shipping process.
