Thailand Tour
Botanical, Nature, Shopping and Cultural
9 nights Bangkok, 3 nights Chaing Mai, 1 night Pattaya

DAY 1 - 2
Depart Fort Lauderdale for flight to Bangkok.
After clearing Bangkok customs and immigration we board the short 1 hour flight to Chaing Mai. After transferring to our hotel we will enjoy a lovely meal. The rest of the day will be spent at leisure. We should  plan to visit the night market as this will reset our biological clocks.

DAY 3
After a fantastic buffet breakfast at the hotel we will tour the Elephant Camp and Conservation Center. Those wanting will board one of the many elephants for a jungle excursion. We will enjoy yet another buffet near the camp. After lunch we may elect to raft down the river and see areas inaccessible by auto. Several other points of interest will be visited as we return to Chaing Mai. Night Market is again optional.

Day 4
We will visit the impressive Plant Market in Chaing Mai as well as several Furniture and Handicraft Factories

Day 5
Leisure day if you wish, some may elect to visit the highest point in Thailand and a beautiful fuchsia garden and Temple near there. Evening flight back to Bangkok

Day 6
We will depart our hotel to head south to Pattaya and world famous Nong Nooch Gardens. We will try to have reservations to overnight here but if not there are many lovely hotels in Pattaya. We will notify you of confirmation as space is limited within the gardens. This is why it is important to make your reservation as early as possible.

Day 7
Return to Bangkok and possibly have time to take a sneak peak of the Tropical Fish Market as well as set up of the Plant Market.  Others may elect to visit other parts of Bangkok.

Day 8
For the best and most unusual plants we must breakfast early and on our way via Sky Train to Chatuchak Plant Market. For those not into plants Michael will guide the group to other points of interests. One of our guides will pick up our purchases and transfer them to their facilities for cleaning, packing, documentation and permitting back to the States.

Day 9
Early risers can make their way back to Chatuchak for more plant purchases. Afternoon will be spent touring the Grand Palace, Temple of the Emerald Buddha, as well as the Reclining Buddha Temple. Would this be the appropriate time to experience Bangkok at night? It is really quite fun but can be a real eye opener. Everyone on our last group loved it.

Day 10
Outer ring road and Klong Sip Ha are more plant areas. Again we may split the group for other points of interest around Bangkok. Roller Coaster anyone? Future Park, Floating Market, River City Mall , Jim Thompson House to name a few.

Day 11 and 12
World Famous Chatuchak Weekend Market, and you will be familiar enough to do any of the areas serviced by the Bangkok Sky Train. We will leave this open or decide on other activities.

Day 13
Many of us who have plants will spend time cleaning them at our guides facilities, about 40 miles outside of Bangkok. Near here is the largest Buddhist Temple in Thailand. It is very modern and different than what we have seen. This will be a good day to pick up our prescription glasses, custom jewelry, final massage and manicure, custom suits and shirts or many other items that are available here.

Day 14
After breakfast at the hotel we may have time to visit the fantastic and very extensive Tropical Fish and Aquatic Plant market, or finish up on some final shopping and packing before boarding our flight back to the states

Day 15-16
We arrive back in the states usually before the time we left Bangkok. The date should be June 21st or 22nd. Actual timing will be determined at time of ticketing.
